It is a gentle hilly area located on the border of Asahikawa City and Hifu Town at an altitude of 239 meters. This mountain is known nationwide for being one of the largest colonies of katakuri that bloom all over the place in spring Japan During the flowering season of Katakuri (usually around late April ~ early May), the pale purple flowers, also known as the “spring fairy”, spread out like a carpet, and its magical scenery attracts many tourists and photographers. There is also an observation deck near the summit, and there are well-maintained walking paths where you can hike and forest bathe in the rich nature of deciduous forests.
