Yasushi Inoue Memorial Hall
Yasushi Inoue won the 22nd Akutagawa Prize for “Bullfighting”. In 1976 (Showa 51), he was also awarded the Order of Culture, and is a leading writer in Japan. This memorial hall, which opened in 1993, introduces his life and works from his birth in Asahikawa to his death in 1991, along with valuable materials. The study and drawing room of the Yasushi Inoue residence, which was relocated from Setagaya, Tokyo, are also reproduced and exhibited as they were at that time. While feeling the nostalgia of the Showa era, fans will be able to spend an irresistible time.
